Edmond J. Valente practices in the areas of insurance litigation and regulatory matters. Mr. Valente advises clients on insurance regulatory matters and assists insurers with product development and compliance.
Mr. Valente has also represented noninsurers, such as the South African Chambers of Mines, the Lighter Association, AES Corporation and the Chicago Board of Trade, on legislative issues ranging from the repeal of New York's anti-apartheid Krugerrand tax to lighter safety standards, sulfur dioxide trading allowances and insurance futures.
Mr. Valente is a 1985 graduate of New York Law School, where he was a member of the New York Law School Law Review, and a cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Albany.
