Real Estate Associate - Duane Morris LLP has an opening for an associate in its Real Estate Practice Group, with at least 2-3 years of meaningful experience in the practice of real estate law and finance with a primary focus on commercial real estate transactions, to join its growing practice group in Chicago. Experience in acquisitions, dispositions, development and leasing is necessary, together with background/ working knowledge in real estate lending (preferably from the lender side). Commercial Finance Associate - Duane Morris LLP has an opening for a mid-level commercial finance associate to join its strong and growing Corporate Practice Group, recognized by Chambers USA as one of the best in Illinois. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of solid and meaningful experience in the areas of acquisition financing, agented syndicated secured financings, intercreditor and subordination agreements, and Article 9 of the UCC. The candidate should have strong drafting and negotiating skills, a desire for client contact and doing deals, and an outgoing and personable personality. A strong academic background is required as well as meaningful law firm experience on sophisticated transactional matters. Illinois bar admission is strongly preferred. The candidate will have primary emphasis on patent litigation including experience in all phases of discovery and hearings before state and federal courts. Technical Writer - Duane Morris LLP has an opening for a technical writer to join its growing Intellectual Property practice group in its Philadelphia office. Technical writers at Duane Morris are primarily engaged in researching and preparing written technical materials for U.S. patent applications in support of our registered patent attorneys. Our ideal candidate should possess strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills along with a quick-study aptitude. Qualifications include:

• Degree or significant technical experience in Electrical Engineering or Physics, with course work in English, Philosophy, or Journalism a plus
• Above average proficiency in language, writing, proofreading, editing and formatting
• Able to produce professional technical writing that is accurate, complete, unambiguous and as concise as possible for technical audiences.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of in-depth immigration work performed on a routine daily basis and possess a thorough understanding in H, L, E, TN and O visas, PERMS, visa petitions and consular processing. Background and knowledge in deportation defense matters is beneficial to the position.
