The capital's millionaires never cease to amaze with their eye-boggling purchases. Recently, an unknown individual paid an enormous sum for a 7-story apartment in the center of Moscow.

There are only 6 apartments in the Club Residency complex at Chistye Prudy. Each occupies 7 stories. Their design is based on the Western townhouse model, according to mosrealbase.ru.

The European Ecological Society managed the construction of the complex, which holds 30 families on a 0.6-hectare area at the intersection of 3 Podsosenskiy St. and 10 Barashevskiy St. The complex includes: a 7-story house with 12 apartments; a 4-story cottage with 12 apartments; 6 unique one-apartment homes; and two villas. The living area in the complex tops 22,000 square meters.

The area of the 7-story apartment is 1,300 square meters. Besides the underground parking lot, each floor is a themed apartment, including: a pool and recreation area on the first floor; a living area on the second; a recreation area on the third; a children's area on the fourth; sleeping areas on the fifth and sixth; an office on the seventh; and a winter garden and terrace with an up-close-and-personal view of Moscow’s skyline on the roof.

But perhaps more amazing than the size of the apartment is its cost. The buyer forked over a whopping 2.5 billion rubles, or $100 million, for the property.

However, this is far from a record. The world’s most expensive residency is an apartment in the center of London that sold for over $230 million.

The name of the Moscow apartment's new owner remains a mystery.
